Review: FireMaple Orange Lantern

The FireMaple Orange lantern connects to an isobutane fuel canister to add a cool camp vibe wherever you choose to go.

Instead of having a campfire, I’ve been enjoying the warm glow this lantern creates at camp. The FireMaple gas lantern isn’t the old-fashioned type that may come to mind. Instead of using liquid fuel, this lantern works with a standard isobutane canister, the same fuel used for backpacking stoves found at outdoor retailers.

Features

• An adjustable flame lets you control the level of brightness.
• Minimal fuel consumption – at 8 grams of fuel per hour of use, a single gas canister will last for many, many trips.

To use:

• attach the lantern to a fuel canister
• turn the glass globe so the cut out is facing out to allow for lighting
• turn the regulator to allow fuel to flow while holding a match or lighter in the glass cut out
• rotate the glass globe so the cut out is blocked from wind
• adjust the flame to be below the glass globe
