I use the REI Ruckpack Sling to hold all of my small essentials (with room for more) when I’m camping instead of carrying a purse or tote bag. With multiple pockets on the outside and inside, I can easily find items and have a convenient way to carry what I need while I’m out exploring.

The Ruckpack Sling is a versatile bag with a symmetrical design that allows you to wear it over either shoulder, and a removable crossbody stabilizer strap for holding it securely to your body. The air-mesh shoulder strap is comfortable to wear, and its adjustable fit (XS–4XL) means it works for a wide range of body types.
Storage is well thought out, with a main compartment that includes a tablet sleeve (I use this to keep documents for trips), a zippered mesh pocket, and three smaller pockets for organization. The light-colored interior lining makes it easier to find what you are looking for, even at the bottom of the bag. As someone who is hyper-organized, I love having so many places to stash items individually instead of having one large space for everything to get lost in.
The front zippered pocket with a key clip is great for quick access to essentials, like my car keys, lip balm and other small items, while the back pocket behind the main compartment is perfect for keeping my phone within easy reach.
For those carrying bulkier items, the bottom compression straps help secure your load and can double as an attachment point for things like a jacket or tripod. There are also two lash loops and a top carry handle for extra versatility.
